Ramble Block Of The Month - A Year-Long Quilting Journey with Tara Faughnan

BOM begins February 2026 and runs until January 2027

Join Tara for this 12 month block of the month to make her stunning Ramble medallion quilt! It is the perfect way to explore a beautiful harmony of colours and values, with a modern twist. Each month/round demonstrates a wide range of techniques that will build the skills of novice quilters and be a fun play day for more experienced quilters. 

Techniques include;

• Traditional piecing
• Strip piecing
• Gentle curves
• Easy no-tear paper piecing technique.

Also included in the cost is a full complement of video tutorials and online learning support for all the BOM participants, Tara will share her tips and tricks for each step of the way, ensuring everyone has a great time and comes away with a beautiful quilt!

BOM Details
Quilt size – 85" x 88"
Difficulty – Confident/Advanced beginners and above.
18.5 Yards of Artisan Cotton fabric for the quilt top & binding.
Video tutorials available each month available on the Thinkific learning platform. All participants will be able to create an account and access the video content there. This will include tips, tricks and technique demos.

Schedule
Introductory Month - January 2026: Videos for intro and supplies will go live. No sewing will be done this month.
Starting in February 2026 and continuing to January 2027, participants will receive fabric bundles each month and sew the row(s) of the month. To even out the workload, some months will include cutting and sewing for rows that will be added to the quilt in later rounds.

What’s Not Included

Batting: 93" x 96"
Backing - 2.75 yards 108"-wide backing fabric (or 8 yards standard-width fabric).
Suggested backing is Ruby & Bee 51583-14 Night Sky.
I will be offering options to buy these along with the BOM when it starts in 2026.

Pricing

£45 Non refundable registration fee payable now.
£27 Monthly charge for each month's fabric bundle, including delivery, pattern & video access, starts January 2026 and runs for 12 months until January 2027.
