Living in Kent, close to the French border, Penny has been inspired by both British and French culture, where roses are a shared symbol of beauty and tradition. During visits to French brocantes, Penny was first drawn to the ornate masks and costumes that sparked her fascination with the theme of the masquerade. The charm of the châteaux and the romantic character of these markets, further shaped the aesthetic of the collection. The designs bring together elements of nature and theatrical costume, exploring themes of mystery, transformation, and grace.
